Leadership Conference Itinerary

Conference Objective

“To improve the members’ confidence, knowledge and ability to generate ideas and resources to improve awareness, increase community activity, generate additional sponsorships, increase donations and eventually drive the LitterBugz to pick up all of the litter from Cuyahoga County in one day.”

Programs

Guest Speakers – Speakers will set the tone by sharing activities and skills that engage and improve communities.

LitterBugz Presentations – Leaders will present results and educate attendees on most effective ways to rapidly clean a community while changing mindsets of the disheartened.

Round Table Discussions – Discussion shall be 7 minutes each with a total of 6 different discussion tables. Attendees will move from table to table briefly learning about each topic. Moderators will present information to attendees. Feedback from attendees is optional.

About The Speakers, Hosts, and Musicians

Alfred Porter Jr. – Alfred is a passionate activist and inspiring artist in the Cleveland hip-hop community. He is the founder of the Hip-Hop Workshop at Cleveland State University and takes pride in supporting young and ambitions individuals. You can read his blog at http://blackonblackcleveland.com/.

Carmonita Williams – Carmonita is the current Volunteer Chair on the LitterBugz board of directors. She believes strongly in empowering and engaging the youth by holding events. Charlie Weible – Charlie is a certified public accountant with over 25 years of experience. He specializes in consulting, accounting, auditing, and tax planning. Colleen McArtor – Colleen has received a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from The University of Akron.  She has been in the health care industry 28 years and believes in change.  She is the founder of Sustainawell to approach dieting in a different way.  Colleen provides the care and guidance to truly change lives.  Read more about here at https://www.sustainawell.com/.

Crystal Muscatello – Crystal is a Certified Qigong Instructor and passionate community organizer. She believes in improvement by embracing opportunities and envisioning a healthy community. You can read testimonials at https://www.celebratewellnesstoday.com/.

Dave “Ziggy” Deitke – Dave is a super performer who plays guitar and the harmonica. Dave is a passionate performer with a big heart for his community. He plays in C-Level, a popular local band. Their album can be found at https://c-levelmusic.bandcamp.com.

Elizabeth Hennessy – Elizabeth is a passionate volunteer for local nonprofits such as Building Hope in the City and The LitterBugz. She is kind hearted and truly believes in leading by example to get things done.

Greg “DJ NuEra” Barrow – Greg is an award winning DJ and Turnt-tablist that is known for moving crowds. He creates a uniquely tailored experience wherever he plays and is constantly perfecting his craft. You can learn more about him at http://djnuera.com/.

Jeff Schlekie – Jeff is the founder and lead organizer for The LitterBugz. He also works as a service technician for Approved Plumbing Co, a local plumbing company out of Broadview Heights, Ohio. You can read his blog at http://www.litterbugz.org/author/jschlek/.

Jeph Wahl – Jeph Wahlgren is a guitarist originally from Middleburg Heights. He can play a number of cover songs and has originals as well. Jeph is also a phenomenal cook. You can hear Jeph’s music at https://jephwahl.bandcamp.com/.

John “Suave Goddi” Davis – Suave is the founder of Spit Boxers and is a natural MC, a true leader in the hip-hop/rap community. He has been on the Scene Magazine cover and is an underground legend. You can watch his skills in this video https://youtu.be/f6e_6hrxhyw.

Jonathan Steirer – Jon is a proactive environmentalist who has been planting seeds to improve the Cudell area for quite some time. As a resident, Jon plays leadership roles in Global Shapers Community and Cudell Improvement Inc. He is also a marine engineer. Lauren Kriska – Lauren is a professional culinary cook with a associate of applied business degree.  She strongly advocates a clean water and litter free environment.  She is passionate about baking and cooking with natural ingredients from scratch.  Lauren enjoys volunteering for causes she believes in and also loves hiking and biking in the parks.

Lisa Espinosa – Lisa likes to be known as a Professional Slacker. She lives in Akron and is an experienced Lyft driver with excellent reviews. Lisa is a passionate LitterBugz volunteer who dedicates all her free time to the program.

Matt Tyrrell – Matt is a videographer, web designer, and marketing genius. He is known for connecting like-minded people, and displaying positivity. He lives everyday like a holiday. You can watch his lifestyle videos at http://www.haveahappytoday.com/.

Matthew Scott Schmidt – Matthew Scott is the current President for the LitterBugz and is constantly trying to improve himself. He is a local comedian and State Farm rep.
