As winter approaches, many notice the decrease in daylight and the cold that pierces our skin. Some people toss litter on the ground as a means to get rid of trash. This is not a good idea and greatly affects the overall moral of the city we live in. Some may do this because they are cold. A person may throw a cigarette or candy wrapper on the ground so they can immediately put their hands in their pockets to escape the blistering winds.
In the spring, many students will then have to tolerate the terrible smell and quality of living that comes from irresponsible people who litter. The UT LitterBugz is dedicated to stop these people from thinking about littering. I’d like to share some ways that can help students stop littering.
- If you smoke, think of buying a pocket ashtray. Use Google or Amazon to purchase a small ashtray that fits in your pocket. It does not make you smell bad and will impress people. Gentlemen; women like men that are clean. Ladies; men appreciate responsible women.
- If you litter out of your car, look into disposable car trash bags. Some people who care about their city even keep a small garbage bin in their car. Having a garbage bin or disposable car trash bags can eliminate the thought of littering in your car. E-mail thebug@thelitterbugz.org and one of us can give you some for free on campus!!
